Medical Sonographer, OB/GYN

Job Overview

We provide high quality patient care in the medical imaging department. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer you will perform high‑quality images and exams on patients, maintain sensitivity to patient needs, follow safe radiation practice standards, demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, and act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, ensuring current standards of practice.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Maintain patient comfort and safety.

Provide leadership and mentorship to associate technologists.

Serve as a clinical resource and ensure adherence to current best practices.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Registered with ARDMS as RDMS (OB/GYN) or AB or BR; or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RVT(VT) with OB or ABD within one year or hire; or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT); or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or PE or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.

Physical capability to exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
