Buyer- Production Purchasing

Molded Dimensions Group is a supplier of rubber, urethane and plastic components headquartered in Port Washington, WI. With our worldwide customer base, we operate in a wide variety of end markets including marine, medical, automotive, trucking and mining. We are seeking a Buyer I to own domestic purchasing and help us get more value from our ERP system (IQMS). This is a hands‑on role at the center of purchasing, scheduling, and operations, with real opportunity to make an impact and grow.

Day to day, you’ll work closely with our Production Scheduler to ensure the manufacturing floor has what it needs, manage supplier relationships, and support our operational excellence efforts. You’ll also play a key role in building out and maintaining IQMS data so the system works for the buying team—not the other way around.

Partner closely with the Production Scheduler to anticipate material needs and keep domestic purchases on schedule.

Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders in IQMS, ensuring accurate delivery confirmations and proactive supplier communication.

Improve supplier on‑time delivery through consistent follow‑up and relationship management.

Communicate material status clearly to Customer Service, Quality, and Operations so everyone knows what’s coming and when.

Build, maintain, and improve ERP data including lead times, pricing, order quantities, and vendor records to make purchasing more efficient and reliable.

Comfort and confidence working in an ERP system, with a willingness to dig into the details to get the data right.

A collaborative teammate who works well with scheduling, operations, quality, and customer service.

Wow Our Customers

3-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment (rubber or plastics experience a plus).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Rubber, Urethane, Plastics: “We make the difficult part easy.”
