Fully Remote Mental Health Counselor

As a licensed counselor, you’ll be responsible for providing therapeutic Christian counseling care for those working as part of the global Bible translation ministry. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in the work of Bible translation by helping to ensure that individuals and families are successful and able to continue their time of Wycliffe ministry.

Responsibilities Receive on-going training on specific issues present within the unique organizational and cross-cultural contexts within which staff work.

Continually grow in understanding of the preventive, therapeutic, and consultative approaches most effective for addressing issues in this context.

Maintain client records in accordance with ethical and professional standards.

Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Partnership Development: Build and retain a team of prayer and financial partners that will sustain them during their entire Wycliffe ministry according to the Wycliffe Partnership Development policy.

International Requirements: A clear background check.

Education & Experience Master’s level or higher academic degree in a mental health field, such as psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, compatible with licensing standards in sending country/state.

Local state clinical mental health/counseling license required.
