Automation Engineer With IPv6 ExperienceSecunetics provides network infrastructure intelligence services to government agencies and commercial clients. We work with our clients to help assess the performance of IT infrastructures, establish baselines, and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. We are a focused team of enthusiastic colleagues working together on a variety of challenging projects.We are looking for an Automation Engineer with IPv6 Experience to interface with our team and our clients. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you will contribute to our mission of optimizing network performance.Government security clearance.Who You Are:You are passionate and curious about technologyYou are committed to work with a like-minded team to learn and grow in your field of expertiseYou have an eye for detail and consistencyYou have strong communication skills that are used to solicit and incorporate feedback in your workYou have a strong interest in infrastructure performanceYou enjoy interacting with clients to satisfy their goals and objectivesWe Are Looking For A Team Member With The Following Skills:Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering3+ years of network operations and engineering experienceExpert level experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalentExperience implementing and configuring IPv6 addressing schemes, routing, and security, including in cloud environmentsSolid understanding of networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, TAPs, and traffic brokersProficiency writing automations with scripting languages such as Python and BashWorking knowledge of YANG, YAML, and JSONFamiliarity with using REST APIsWorking knowledge of GitWorking knowledge of Docker or PodmanExcellent understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIsKnowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., applications, servers, networks, and storage)Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writingThe Following Skills Are A Plus:Familiarity with Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO)Familiarity with KubernetesCCNA certificationExtensive experience in packet analysis (Wireshark)Familiarity with ITILv3 concepts, especially Service OperationsSecunetics is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
