Job Description Position Title: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer
Duration: 12 months contract
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–Overtime: Daily or weekend overtime may be required)
Client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support Seeding Group assembly operations. You’ll address production-floor safety, quality, and efficiency issues, help maintain tooling and equipment uptime, and lead improvement projects that support production goals.
Troubleshoot daily production issues.
Support and improve tools, fixtures, and equipment.
Lead or contribute to projects involving torque tooling, capital investments, and JDAAT.
Identify improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Collaborate with hourly and salaried employees across the factory.
1–3 years of production or factory-floor support experience in a UAW environment.
- Knowledge of assembly tooling and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
Experience with tooling improvements, JDAAT, CIPP, MP Planner/W Planner, Dynamic Line Balancing Tools, SAP, or manufacturing data analysis.
