The Opportunity As an ASL Direct Support Professional, you will be a mentor, teacher, guide, and advocate for deaf, hard of hearing, and signing individuals with I/DD. This is a hands-on role where you will directly influence how people live, connect with their communities, and reach their personal goals.

Support clients with community access, including transportation, outings, and participation in local activities that foster independence and inclusion.

Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks in a respectful, dignified, and person-centered way.

Accompany clients to medical appointments, helping them communicate with providers and follow through on care plans.

Within your first few months, you consistently use ASL to communicate effectively with clients and team members, building strong rapport and trust.

Clients you support show measurable progress toward their individual goals in areas such as community participation, independence, and social engagement.

You actively participate in training and team meetings, contribute ideas to improve services, and take on increasing responsibility as you grow in the role.

Proficiency in American Sign Language (hearing or deaf/hard of hearing) and a genuine desire to communicate in ASL throughout your workday.

At least 21 years of age, with reliable transportation, a valid CA Driver's License, ability to pass a background check, and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior human services or caregiving experience is a plus.
