Start your journey today and join our skilled team.We are seeking a Material Handler to support some of the most innovative, complex, and large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the country. This role will be instrumental in delivering RMCI's first-generation programs as a General Contractor within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.This person will assist in and/or perform under supervision of all aspects of fabrication to support the construction industry. They will be tasked with miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to material handling assembly of prefabricated systems, and other general labor tasks. This position will require mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills to meet the position's primary needs.ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Assembly: Operate machinery (including but not limited to drilling/deburring hand tools, welders, cutters, grinders, hydraulic CNC equipment) to fabricate parts and assemble components according to specifications.Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the materials, dimensions, and procedures needed for fabrication.Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Material Handling: Prepare and organize materials needed for the fabrication process, including cutting and shaping metals, plastics, and composites.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work orders, production schedules, and inventory usage.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fabrication processes, machinery, or materials.Basic math skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and material quantities.Proficiency in using fabrication tools and machineryAbility to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods. Self-motivated and eager to learnAbility to follow directions, both written and verbalAbility to lift 50 pounds, unassisted, frequently throughout the dayAbility to stand or be on your feet for long periods of timeAbility to do the following: bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingersExperiencePrevious experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical environment is preferred.
