Full-time Medical Optometrist

Sierra Eye Group in Visalia, California – located 40 miles west of Sequoia & Kings National Park. As the longest continuously operating eye care clinic in Tulare County, California, Sierra Eye Group (SEG) takes great pride in their reputation as friendly, outcome-focused vision care experts. Many of their physicians and team members have been working together for more than 20 years. With roots dating back to 1976, SEG includes two MDs and two ODs, led by Dr. Steven Cantrell and Dr. Matthew Kirkman.

Sierra Eye Group offers the full range of ophthalmologic, optometric, and optical services – all together in one location. The team treats vision needs including comprehensive eye exams, glasses, and contacts, to cataract lens implant surgery, macular degeneration treatment, diabetic retinopathy management, and glaucoma treatment and management.

We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team and provide primary care services to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and providing patient education. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our patients and is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in optometry.

Responsibilities:

Provide primary care optometry services, including comprehensive eye exams.

Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders.

Perform minor surgical procedures.

Educate patients on proper eye care.

Provide referrals to other medical professionals as needed.
