Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Utilization Review Care Manager!
Job Description:

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
• Location: Remote (Must work in Pacific Standard Time)
• Equipment Provided: Laptop, keyboard, and mouse
• Licenses Required: Must have a California license

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct utilization review for acute hospital admissions and continued stays
• Collaborate with various service lines and levels of care, including inpatient and outpatient settings
• Utilize the Epic charting system and InterQual criteria to assess medical necessity
• Work with a variety of adult and pediatric acute and chronic diagnoses

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute medical care management and utilization review in a hospital setting
• Proficient in Epic and have recent experience (within the last 6-12 months)
• Knowledge of Medicare and compliance regulations (e.g., CC44s, ABNs)
• Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and Medi-Cal required

Working Conditions:

• Must commit to a rotating schedule, including every other weekend
• Strict adherence to California labor laws regarding breaks and lunches
• Flexibility is required to support four facilities

References Required:
- Two references covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years
