Atrium Health Levine Cancer’s Radiation Oncology outpatient services provide advanced, patient-centered care using cutting-edge radiation therapy to treat cancer. The clinic is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology, including linear accelerators and image‑guided systems.

Clinical Expertise: Board‑certified radiation oncologists with subspecialty training.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

BSN required; RN candidates without a BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire and complete it within 3 years.

Oncology and triage experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team.

Continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.

Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age‑appropriate care, including understanding principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
