OB/GYN Ultrasound Sonographer

The ultrasound technologist operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures. The ultrasound technologist must be able to think and act independently and assess emergency situations accurately. The Ultrasound Technologist may be required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. Depending on the needs of the specific department, the Ultrasound Technologist may routinely work in additional ARDMS specialty certifications. Abdomen (AB), Vascular (RVT), Breast (BR), Fetal Echo (FE), Neurosonology (NE), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Pediatric Sonography (PS).

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related profession.
ARDMS or ARRT Registry in Ultrasound at time of hire. Additionally, Vascular Ultrasound Registry from either ARDMS, ARRT or CCI must be obtained within 12 months of hire date for Ultrasound positions at independent diagnostic testing facilities (IDTFs). Preferred Experience: 12 months previous experience in ultrasound
