Head of Engineering Programme Management

Job Overview Join the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine as a Program Coordinator II! In this role you will provide advanced professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing and managing student development programs and activities, utilizing maximum campus and community resources and opportunities for the Student Affairs Office in the School of Engineering Medicine.

Responsibilities Program Support – Maintain the student information database; serve as primary liaison during the matriculation process; provide administrative support for the Director of Wellness and M4 HEAL Capstone; manage attestation forms; manage graduation clearances; conduct research for program planning; mentor and support students through application of student development theory; serve as a role model for a highly competitive academic program; plan and execute activities to foster campus community.

analyze and summarize programmatic data; create original correspondence, reports, presentations and program materials; monitor compliance with university/departmental policies; assist in preparing budgets and fund allocation planning.

Event Support – Plan and execute major events for the School of Engineering Medicine including New Student Orientation, Medical School White Coat ceremony, HEAL Capstone, Match Day ceremony and Commencement ceremony.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

four or more years of planning and implementing student development programs and activities.

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration or closely related field preferred.

Experience with academic advising and coordinating a tutoring program.

Professional experience in higher education or a medical setting.

Knowledge of TAMUS policies and procedures; Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
