Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities.QualificationsMinimum Education/CertificationHigh School Diploma/GEDValid Texas Driver LicenseDriving record that meets the requirements of the district's insurance carrier.Texas State Journeyman Plumbers License or Apprentice Registration (with intent on obtaining Journeyman License)Special Knowledge/Skills/ExperienceProficiency in general plumbingPossess a positive attitudeMinimum five years' experience in the plumbing field.Major Responsibilities and DutiesPerform plumbing duties necessary for installation and maintenance of plumbing in all facilities.Able to cut, thread and install gas lines.Ability to use a variety of sewer clean-out machines, as well as flare and sweat copper lines.Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or appropriate administrator.Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.Follow district safety protocols and emergency proceduresCorrect unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.Detect needed repair on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
