Part-Time Police Officer
The City of Huntsville's Police department is seeking qualified applicants to fill our Part-Time Police Officer position(s). Come join our growing Police Team! The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is located near the City's downtown business and historic districts. Huntsville has 3 Police Precincts, approximately 500 sworn officers, 200 civilian personnel and patrols an area around 220 square miles. HPD is a "Professional Law Enforcement Organization" utilizing modern technology, state of the art equipment and comprehensive training techniques. The Huntsville Police Department employs individuals of diverse backgrounds, education and experience. Part-Time Police Officer Position Overview:
This is law enforcement work in the protection of life and property through, investigation of a specialized nature, assistance to citizens, arrest and detention, and related activities. Work involves prevention of crime, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, investigations of a specialized nature, apprehension of criminals, internal investigations, special assignments, enforcement of laws, regulations, ordinances, security work in safeguarding employees, public property and any special assignments designated and approved by the Chief of Police. High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.Must successfully complete a pre-employment supplemental application.
