The Department of Executive Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse 2 to work in Miami Beach, FL.
The Registered Nurse 2 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse 2 oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.
Assesses assigned patients and evaluates plans to include documentation of nursing care. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses, conditions and physician orders.
Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Administers and maintains accurate records related to medications and treatments as per regulatory bodies, policies, procedures and physician orders.
Communicates plan of care in a timely manner to patient and family, as well as the appropriate team members, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines (i.e. Uses best practices for transition of patient care.
Uses available resources to assist in discharge planning.
Plans, prioritizes, and adjusts assignments to accomplish goals and render superior patient care; seeks assistance when needed.
Safely operates medical equipment.
Serves as a preceptor and assists new staff in the provision of care in order to help them acclimate to the healthcare environment, and a direct patient care role. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Valid State of Florida RN license required
Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
The Executive Health Department provides convenient and personalized attention to patients in our care. The RN2 is responsible for assessing physical and psychosocial status of patients in an outpatient clinic setting by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies. Assist physicians in performing medical procedures, up to and including blood drawing, vital signs and nursing assessments, history and physical. This position requires travel to multiple clinic locations.

Performs phlebotomy, ear lavage, EKG, vaccine immunizations, and injections.
Responsible for calling patients with results and physician instructions as well as pre-visit phone calls with the patients.
Assists with clinic equipment and supply orders as needed.
Works with other clinical and non-clinical members of the Executive Health team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Experience in ambulatory nursing preferred.
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred.
Operates appropriate medical equipment used in practice.
Effective communication skills, solid customer service skills, and prompt responsiveness are essential in the role.
Anticipates potential problems and assists nurse leader(s) in the development of contingency plans.
Adheres to University and Department level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Must be willing to travel/float between sites as needed.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Registered Nurse License; Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
