Maid and Housekeeping and Cleaning

Reports to: Director of Environmental Services

Overview of the Position

The Housekeeping Staff provide the day-to-day housekeeping in the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Mon-Tues 8am-4pm

Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Functions

Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.

Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)

Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.

Admission, Transfer, and Discharge Functions

For an admission, review the overall cleanliness of the room. Assure that all equipment is functional, clean and in good condition. Report problems to your supervisor.

When a resident is discharged, sanitize the mattress, thoroughly, clean the bed, bed rails, over-bed table, side table, clothing locker and drawers. Advise your supervisor of the status of the paint, blinds, etc.
