Job Description
BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. Responsibilities include donor eligibility assessment, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory results, donor safety, vaccination program support, employee incident management, pandemic coordination, and related environmental, health and safety support.

What You Will Contribute

Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).

Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in the SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.

Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical or technical issues, donor safety and eligibility.

Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.

Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER; refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.

Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, including completion of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements; or a graduate equivalent.

Current license or certification in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.

Current CPR and AED certification.

Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy (in state of licensure).

Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation
Location: USA - WI - Appleton - Eisenhower Dr

Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 - $33.44

The hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The wage will meet local minimum wage requirements.
