RN – Nurse Educator

Position: RN Nurse Educator (Perioperative / Med-Surg Background) Location: New York, NY (Harlem Hospital Center – NYC Health + Hospitals) Contract Length: 13 Weeks (06/15/2026 – 09/19/2026) Shift: Days, 5×7.5s (37.5 hrs/week)
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
Strong clinical background required
Perioperative (OR) experience required
Experience in education, training, or precepting preferred
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) – Required
Master's Degree in Education (or related field) – Required
Certifications & Licensure
Active New York RN License
NYSED Primary Source Verification required
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
Additional Requirements
Strong communication and teaching skills
Ability to train and mentor nursing staff
Experience developing or delivering clinical education programs preferred
Role Responsibilities
Provide clinical education and training to nursing staff
Develop and implement in-service education programs
Support onboarding and orientation of new nurses
Ensure staff competency in Med/Surg and perioperative practices
Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical outcomes and standards of care
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
