Audiologist (M) (Fulltime) Audiology

Overview A clinical audiologist provides services for the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation, and rehabilitation to patients with hearing and balance disorders. The audiologist is responsible for administering diagnostic audiology tests and rehabilitative services. Diagnostic testing may include audiological assessments, vestibular assessments, cochlear implant assessments, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, and evoked potentials. Rehabilitative services may include cochlear implant programming, hearing instrument recommendations, selection and fittings, aural rehabilitation, and treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positioning Vertigo. Patient populations served and specific diagnostic testing / rehabilitative services offered may vary based on practice location. Administer diagnostic audiology tests and rehabilitative services as described, including audiological assessments, vestibular assessments, cochlear implant assessments, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, and evoked potentials.

Deliver rehabilitative services such as cochlear implant programming, hearing instrument recommendations, selection and fittings, aural rehabilitation, and treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positioning Vertigo.

Support patient populations served and roles that may vary by practice location; Must meet minimum education requirements for licensure in Florida, with a Doctorate of Audiology degree preferred. Audiologists within Mayo Clinic Practice 90% direct patient care. Must demonstrate computer skills with respect to spreadsheet capability but also for ease in adapting to the Automated clinical record.

Must be licensed per Florida state law as an audiologist or pending licensure to be completed by the time of hire. National certification in Audiology required (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, ABA Certification, or equivalent).
