Lead Phlebotomist-Full-time Evenings

As a research and teaching hospital, we offer the best in pediatric medicine. Our network features over 590+ physicians and specialists providing high quality care in more than 50 pediatric medical and surgical sub-specialties.

Work Hours: Evening Shift/Full Time/1:30pm-10:00pm
Weekend/Holiday Rotations Required
The laboratory lead phlebotomist coordinates day to day operations of pre analytical functions in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Ensures training of both laboratory and non-laboratory staff in specimen procurement techniques.
Ensures specimens are collected and handled in a manner consistent with laboratory policies and ensures supplies are available for use.
A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience in a clinical and/or pathology laboratory
• Nationally certified in Phlebotomy (i.e. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. The Hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed.
