Employee Assistance Program Counselor - Full-time

We are currently seeking a full-time, EAP Counselor to work at our Merrillville, IN office location.

The EAP Counselor helps bring our mission to life by assisting clients with various issues and areas of concern. The primary means for providing clinical service is through assessment and referral of clients. When appropriate, the counselor provides additional short-term counseling. Conduct assessments to determine the nature of a client's mental health and or issues with substance misuse.

Provide education about substance misuse, risks, symptoms, and impacts on personal and professional life.

Provide crisis management services to nearby accounts that the office services.

Identify external resources including treatment facilities, treatment providers, and support groups. adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.

Work with medical professionals and or other treatment providers to provide comprehensive coordination of care to clients.
