This is a crucial role in protecting RealTruck's intellectual property rights by drafting and prosecuting patent applications and your technical expertise and legal acumen will contribute to safeguarding innovations and inventions.Core FunctionsPrepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and foreign patent offices, including utility and design matters.Analyze patent portfolios, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and evaluate infringement risks to support sound business decisions.Assist with patent litigation matters, including collaboration with litigation counsel and expert witnesses.Advise on patent strategy, portfolio management, and risk — aligned to broader business objectives.Minimum Qualifications & RequirementsEducation and ExperienceJuris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school required.Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.3-5 years of experience as a patent attorney.Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Required LicensesLicense to practice law and admitted to the US Patent Bar.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in complex situations.Strong knowledge of US patent law and international patent law.Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.TravelOccasional travel may be required.Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications with focus on making patent submission easy for engineering contributors.Takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.Reacts well under pressure; About RealTruckRealTruck is the premier manufacturer and digital destination of accessories for truck, Jeep®, Bronco® and off-road enthusiasts around the world.
