Neuro/Medical-Surgical Registered Nursing

Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Level I trauma environment

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320

Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 1, 2027

Three 12-hour shifts per week

Shift: Primarily nights; straight days and rotating schedules may be available based on unit needs and preference

Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Floating: May float to other medical-surgical units in the Fargo area as needed

Approximately 4–5 patients per nurse on days and up to 6 patients per nurse on nights

Documentation and Equipment: Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements
At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in a large hospital setting

Recent experience caring for neurological and neuro patients preferred

Previous travel nursing experience with successful completion of a prior assignment

Active North Dakota or Compact Registered Nurse license, or willingness to obtain one

Epic EMR experience

Willingness to float to other medical-surgical units as needed

Neuro/Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive registered nursing care to medical-surgical and neurological patients in an acute-care setting

Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses

Complete accurate, timely documentation in the Epic electronic medical record

Provide patient education, care coordination, routine nursing care, and discharge preparation

Care for patients with complex medical and neurological conditions using evidence-based nursing practices

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, technicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team

Float to other medical-surgical units when requested and adapt to changing patient-care needs
