Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within the scope of practice are required. Transcribing, utilizing, and implementing protocols and physician orders is necessary. Coordination of the healthcare team and delegation of appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel is expected. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are essential, including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy, and a professional attitude. Effective communication with staff, managers, and the public, both verbally and in writing, is necessary. The ability to work effectively without immediate supervision is vital. Willingness to learn new computer software programs is required. Recognizing and protecting confidential information is necessary.
