Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has a total of 294 beds. Facility is Joint Commission Accredited. Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. Facility is located 45 miles east of a major city. The med-surge unit includes two floors. Telemetry equipment is available. The electronic health record system is MEDITECH. Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include surgical cases and various medical treatments. Required education is at least an Associate's degree in nursing. Floating to other units may be required as a second nurse.
