Outdoor Maintenance & Groundskeeper (full-time)

Job Title
Maintains and cares for hospital grounds in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Grounds Coordinator. Perform a variety of landscaping, maintenance and snow removal duties as assigned.
What You’ll Do:

Cuts and maintains lawns and grass.
Rakes and maintains leaves, and cares for plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.
Performs snow removal activities such as shoveling in accordance with guidelines.
Maintains and keeps campus grounds clean and free of debris for first impression and beautification.
May perform basic repairs to outdoor furniture to maintain safe conditions.
Maintains landscape power equipment in good operating condition.
Stress safety as top priority.
Informs Grounds Coordinator of any unsafe conditions.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance and/or snow removal preferred.
Abilities:

Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to occasionally operate small powered landscape tools and equipment (lawn mower, weedwhackers, etc.) safely.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Ability to work outside in the elements.
Ability to exhibit flexibility.
