Albany Periodontics is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our premier dental specialty practice in Albany, NY. We are a team that prides itself on delivering the highest quality periodontal care while fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Full-time
Licensed dental hygienist
Current and valid Dental Hygienist license.
Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with general computer operations and Microsoft Office; highly motivated to learn practice-specific software.
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and a commitment to superior customer service.
Perform comprehensive screenings, including health history reviews, oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, dental charting, and monitoring vital signs.
Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all tooth surfaces with clinical precision.
Radiography: Capture and process high-quality digital dental radiographs (X-rays).
Instruct patients on personalized oral hygiene strategies and provide nutritional counseling regarding oral health.
Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures and ensure the rigorous sterilization of all instruments and tools.
Administration: Perform accurate clinical documentation and assist with essential office management activities.
