The Human Resources Specialist / Facility Security Specialist administers day-to-day HR functions while ensuring full compliance with site security requirements. This position partners closely with employees, leadership, and external partners to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR systems, while also overseeing facility security programs, access control, and security training. The role offers the opportunity to shape a new position within a growing manufacturing organization and contribute directly to both people operations and security compliance.

Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.

Lead onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and integration into the organization.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave programs, ensuring accurate enrollment and ongoing maintenance.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

Support employee relations by responding to questions, addressing concerns, and assisting in the resolution of workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Assist with performance management processes, including documentation, tracking, and coordination of performance reviews and related initiatives.

Support training initiatives by coordinating and tracking employee training related to HR, compliance, and security requirements.

Process new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and other employee status changes within HR systems and related platforms.

Serve as the Facility Security Specialist and ensure ongoing compliance with site security requirements and established security policies.

Issue and terminate employee and contractor access badges upon hire, role change, and termination, maintaining appropriate access levels at all times.

Conduct security briefings and debriefings for employees and contractors, ensuring clear understanding of security expectations and protocols.

Deliver annual security training and awareness programs to maintain compliance and promote a strong security culture.

Perform self-inspections and internal audits of facility security practices and records, identifying and addressing gaps or areas for improvement.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Hands-on experience with core HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance at the federal and state levels.

Proficiency with HR systems and HRIS platforms for processing hires, terminations, and employee status changes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.00/hr.
