Genetics Counselor Assistant, Department of Medical Genetics

Full Time
Provide brief conversation related to the benefits of testing, clinical utility of testing, and the possible family impacts of genetic testing.
Assist patient with decision to schedule an appointment or obtain testing for patients scheduled in GCC schedule
Document personal and family history and gather information necessary to determine reason for visit
Support informed decision making regarding genetic testing and health management options
Administrative duties as it relates to patient care and follow through
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: Minimum one year of work experience in genetic counseling setting preferred. Experience with Epic or other EMR system preferred.
Ability to be flexible in meeting the demands of patients and physicians. Various Medical, Dental, and Vision options
