Full Time Head of Housekeeping

POSITION SUMMARY The Housekeeping Manager at Best Western Apalach Inn will oversee all aspects of our housekeeping operations. You will be responsible for supervising and training a team of room attendants and laundry personnel, ensuring that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas are impeccably maintained. The Housekeeping Manager will also manage inventory, respond to guest concerns, and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces

Hire, train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff including room attendants and laundry personnel

Conduct regular room and property inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and brand expectations are met

Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services

Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations at all times

Maintain clear and accurate records for inspections, lost & found, staff performance, and supply usage

Enforce company policies and procedures, administering disciplinary actions when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS 1 year of some kind of management experience

Previous experience in a housekeeping role, preferably within the hospitality industry, is preferred; Able to frequently bend, reach, balance, and push or lift up to 20 pounds during shift.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
