Aspire Public Schools operates a network of high-performing, college-preparatory charter schools serving TK-12 scholars in communities across California. The Teacher, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) will be responsible for providing a high quality instruction within a small school environment where every student is known and valued as an individual; uphold the mission and values of Aspire Public Schools and contribute to our goal that every student in California has access to a high quality public education in Next Generation Science Standards including, but not limited to the following topics of robotics, computer science, engineering design, etc.

- Establish a culture of high expectations that includes the shared belief that every student will attend college
- refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students' education
- Actively participate in professional development activities, and work closely with lead teachers, principal, and instructional coaches
- Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs • Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
- Knowledge of child cognitive development and various learning styles
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents and community
- Familiarity with computer coding and robotics curriculum
- Computer and Internet search skills
Minimum education level:
• Bachelor's degree
Mathematics (full, not foundational) OR Business OR Industrial and Technology Education OR Any credential with an additional authorization in Computer Science, including English learner authorization, required
1+ year working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone
- See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without auditory aides
