Bring your whistle.Come help us make the Whatcom Family YMCA a safe and welcoming place for everyone.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least 18 years old.Certifications: Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administrationCurrent YMCA Lifeguard or equivalentChild abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire dateAbility to maintain certification-level physical and mental readinessMust demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standardRecommended Qualities: Alert, motivated, responsible, able to provide positive customer service, and able to work with different populationsWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
