Broker-Dealer Business Consultant
External Wholesaler – Midwest Region

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Broker-Dealer Business Consultant / External Wholesaler to join our sales and distribution team, covering the Midwest territory. This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with financial advisors affiliated with national broker-dealers while promoting our research-driven investment solutions, including Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), model portfolios, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) .

Our firm leverages decades of proprietary research and a disciplined, data-driven investment process to deliver customized, risk-controlled portfolios designed to help advisors address their clients’ investment objectives. Our solutions emphasize transparency, tax efficiency, personalization, and alpha generation through proven investment models.

Job Title: Broker-Dealer Business Consultant (External Wholesaler – Midwest Region)
Location: Remote / Field-Based, assigned regional territory
Reports To: Director of National Sales
Travel: 50–70%, including advisor meetings, conferences, and other territory-related travel

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan focused on growing assets under management (AUM) and expanding advisor relationships.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with wealth managers and financial advisors, serving as a trusted resource on investment solutions.
Conduct in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and educational sessions to communicate the value of our investment offerings.
Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing advisor relationships through consultative selling.
Provide ongoing advisor support, including product education, portfolio construction guidance, performance reporting, and market insights.
Collaborate with portfolio management, research, compliance, and operations to address advisor needs and support efficient onboarding and implementation.
Track sales activity, pipeline development, and key performance metrics while working toward quarterly and annual goals.
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, the competitive landscape, and the evolving product suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of financial services sales experience , preferably as an external wholesaler.
• Demonstrated success wholesaling ETFs, SMAs, UMAs, model portfolios, or similar investment solutions .
• Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 63 and 65, required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, prospecting, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage both advisors and senior decision-makers.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales role.
• Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
