10,000 Sign On Bonus The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and resident-centered care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and professional standards of practice. The RN Unit Manager serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource for nursing staff, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment that supports residents, families, and team members.

Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants/State Tested Nursing Assistants.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.

Prepares work assignment sheets, taking into consideration resident safety, the educational preparation, experience, knowledge and ability of the persons to whom the assignments are made.

Transfers employees within units as needed.

Prepares performance evaluations with the understanding that such evaluations impact tenure of probationary employees and wage increases of non-probationary employees.

Receives and resolves employee complaints.

Determines rotation of nurses within unit.

Monitors and corrects job performance of employees.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute setting.

Working knowledge of nursing practice, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
