Job Description:
The RN (Registered Nurse) in Acute Care is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a Level 1 trauma setting. The role involves working in the T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5, and managing various tasks including IV insertions, telemetry monitoring, and lifting assistance. Experience with SIMs Lab procedures, a firm understanding of sterile field maintenance, and proficiency in central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion are expected.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical unit.
Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter and central line dressing changes.
Float to observation, various MS and Tele units as required.
Utilize Cerner EMR system for charting and patient documentation.
Requirements:
Must have Level 1 trauma experience.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association).
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience.
Clean-shaven for fit test (men), no facial piercings, natural hair color.
Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (two attempts allowed).
