Material Handler - Warehouse Labor

Job TitleResponsible for performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement and processing of various waste in various container size/type.Follow procedures & direction, perform manual labor, proper usage of PPE, operate mobile equipment (manual and powered), operate fixed / stationary equipment, loading & unloading containers, perform equipment inspections, identification of various container size/type, scanning container movements, consolidation of containers & material, staging containers in designated area, recognize markings & labels. Tasks will be performed on a daily basis in the designated processing area as assigned by Leads & Supervisors in order to meet processing objectives for material disposal.Requires minimal direct supervision.Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. using mechanical or manual means.Construct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.Transport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of materials to and from various locations.Perform general housekeeping duties.Inspection material handling equipment as directed.Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background: High School Diploma/GED is required. 9 to 12 months general labor experience. Forklift experience preferred.Ability to communicate through reading and writing.
