Associate, Product Engineering

We're building intelligent battery systems that make advanced chemistries (sodium-ion, lithium-titanate, lithium-silicon) work in products that were never designed for them. We are looking for a driven and adaptable Associate Product & Programs Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of product and program initiatives — including projects in new and emerging categories that may stretch you beyond your existing areas of expertise.

Project & Program Support

Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams

Maintain the program plan of record ensuring the team have the data they need at their fingertips

Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early, and flag them proactively to the appropriate team members

Support cross-functional coordination across design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams

Product Operations

Help define and document product requirements, user stories, and feature briefs in collaboration with senior team members

Coordinate launches, track milestones, and help ensure programs are delivered on time and within scope

Lean into new project categories and unfamiliar domains with curiosity and a problem-solving mindset

Proactively build knowledge in areas outside your current expertise to meet the evolving demands of each project

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

0–2 years of experience in development in a program, product, or engineering role

Experience building gantt charts – Proficiency in project management tools is a plus

You've led a project in a new or unfamiliar domain and can speak to how you navigated the learning curve

You bring structure to chaos without losing sight of the bigger picture

You'll regularly be asked to support projects in new categories — which may require you to develop skills, learn tools, or navigate stakeholder dynamics that are outside your comfort zone. 75,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Carlsbad Office)
