Hematology-oncology Hospitalist Physician

Hospitalist - Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Position Summary: The Department of Internal Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team. This role involves comprehensive inpatient care for medically complex oncology patients across solid tumor and hematologic services, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams, advanced practice providers, oncologists, intensivists, and rapid response teams.

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient Internal Medicine care for solid tumor patients.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams to support coordinated patient-centered care.

Participate in 24/7 inpatient coverage alongside the Hospitalist team and advanced practice providers.

Support after‑hours care for hematology oncology inpatients and collaborate with the Assessment and Treatment Center (ATC).

Serve as an integral member of rapid response and code teams.

Co‑manage patients and clinical services in collaboration with consulting medical staff as needed.

Work collaboratively with oncologists, intensivists, nursing teams, advanced practice providers, and support services to ensure continuity of care and optimal resource utilization.

Participate actively in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Practice within a supportive inpatient infrastructure including 24/7 in‑house intensivist coverage.

Collaborate with a highly supportive Interventional Radiology team and multidisciplinary inpatient services.

Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent degree with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the State of New York.

License and Certification Requirements License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.

Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in General Internal Medicine, Family Practice or other related medical specialty.

Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine from an accredited institution.
