RN - PCU/Telemetry - Nights

PCU Registered NurseThis position is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The duration is 13 weeks with night shifts of 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). The expected patient ratio is 1:4 on nights. Candidates will provide care for adults with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, syncope, stroke, alcohol withdrawal, chest pain, and DKA. Key skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube management, and high-flow nasal cannula use. Additional skills include interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, management of cardiac drips, and telemetry. Interdisciplinary support will be available from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others.
