This may include, but is not limited to, providing the following legal services to all SLA bureaus, project teams, and the executive team. Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting and filing legal papers and representing the agency at administrative proceedings in disciplinary cases wherein holders of SLA issued licenses have been charged with violations.• Supervise the activities and assignments of attorneys and support staff, to include assigning tasks, training, mentorship, guidance and assessment.• Assist with legal research and drafting legal opinions; provide comprehensive written and oral legal guidance and interpretation of ABC-related laws, rules, regulations, and policies, and on issues arising within SLA bureaus as required.• Conduct factual investigations and provide strategic advice/assistance to agency executives and staff on legal matters and adherence to applicable legal requirements and policies.• Respond to inquiries and requests for information, legal opinions, and legal interpretations from the General Counsel, Deputy Counsel, other agency staff and occasionally the public as assigned.• Adhere to all SLA and Counsel’s Office policies and procedures and advise agency personnel on compliance with and implementation of such policies, procedures, and guidance as needed.• Assist on special projects and assignments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or the Deputy Counsel to include other legal, administrative and office support tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications : Admission to, and member in good standing of, the New York State Bar and four years of subsequent professional legal experience.NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES.
