Job Description OB/GYN Physician - Glendale, AZ - Build an OB-Focused Practice

For the OB/GYN who loves obstetrics more than gynecology: build an OB-focused practice with strong clinical support, flexible scheduling options, and the ability to refer GYN care to general OB/GYN and MIGS colleagues.

Glendale, AZ — sunny Phoenix-metro living with easy access to the wider metro area; multiple practice opportunities across Arizona based on current OB demand

Schedule: Full-time, with potential for four 10-hour days or a reduced FTE when staffing allows

Compensation: $300,000–$550,000 guaranteed physician base depending on experience and position structure, plus work RVU productivity bonus; highly productive physicians may earn $800,000+ annually

Primarily obstetric practice within a privately owned, physician-led organization

Hospital Coverage: Physicians generally focus on one primary hospital while maintaining privileges at a nearby secondary hospital

OB call required; rotations generally range from approximately 1:3 to 1:7 depending on office staffing

Travel: Most affiliated hospitals are approximately 3–5 miles apart

Immediate OB coverage needs exist. We are hiring for the right long-term fit and can be flexible on timing for physicians considering either an immediate move or a planned transition.

This role is for an OB/GYN who wants obstetrics to be the center of their practice. All of our affiliated practices currently need additional OB coverage due to patient growth and call demands, creating an opportunity to build a sustainable OB-focused patient base.

Your clinic schedule will focus primarily on obstetric patients, with the exact OB-to-GYN mix determined by the individual practice. If you prefer to minimize gynecology, GYN needs may be referred to general OB/GYN colleagues or the MIGS team, allowing you to concentrate more heavily on pregnancy care and deliveries.

Clinical support is designed to keep physicians focused on patient care. NPs and PAs assist with labs, inbox management, and follow-up, while medical assistants and AI scribes help reduce documentation burden. Dedicated charting time is built into both the morning and afternoon schedule.

OB call is part of the position, typically centered on one primary hospital. Depending on the location and staffing model, hospitalists may provide secondary-hospital coverage or pick up call shifts to support the physician team.

Build a practice around obstetrics rather than a traditional equal OB/GYN split

Refer GYN care to general OB/GYN or MIGS colleagues when appropriate

Productivity model provides meaningful upside for physicians who want to build volume

Provide comprehensive prenatal, obstetric, and postpartum care

Manage routine and higher-acuity obstetric patients within your clinical scope

Perform deliveries and obstetric procedures

Participate in OB call according to the practice rotation

Maintain continuity between outpatient prenatal care and hospital-based delivery care

Refer appropriate GYN cases to general OB/GYN or MIGS colleagues

Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing teams, and hospital-based clinicians

Communicate clearly with patients and families throughout pregnancy and postpartum care

Participate in quality, safety, and care-coordination initiatives

MD or DO with completed OB/GYN residency training

Qualified to practice obstetrics and participate in OB call

Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Board-eligible physicians must remain within the applicable eligibility window and obtain board certification within three years of employment

Eligible for Arizona medical licensure; Eligible for applicable hospital privileges and credentialing

Clear English communication

Strong interest in developing a long-term, OB-focused practice

Early- to mid-career physicians are of particular interest based on patient and long-term workforce needs

Collaborative approach to working with general OB/GYN and MIGS physicians

Bilingual or multilingual capabilities; a language stipend may be considered with appropriate medical-language verification

J-1 and H-1B candidates may be considered depending on the opportunity, with J-1 preferred
