Certifications: BLS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE)

Appropriate certifications include Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
Perform echocardiograms, TEE, TTE, stress echo, and structural heart program imaging.
If certified in Vascular: Perform upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, and other vascular assessments.
Obtain necessary information prior to testing and answer patient queries courteously.
Notify medical staff if images deviate from the norm.
Document all procedures within the patient chart.
Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from data to aid physician interpretation.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and procedure rooms.
Complete accurate documentation to ensure proper billing.
