Medsurg/Surgery - Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse - Med Surg
This is a 4x12-hour day shift position, from 06:30 to 19:00, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Any hours over 48 are considered overtime.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Med-Surg unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain efficient patient flow through the unit. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, collaborating with healthcare teams to implement care plans.
Utilize Epic charting for patient documentation and tracking.
Coordinate with rapid response teams for emergencies as needed.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Participate in patient care audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of recent Med-Surg experience required.
BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
CPI certification preferred.
Ability to start and maintain IVs, administer blood products, and manage surgical drains.
Experience with wound care, colostomy care, and feeding tubes is essential.
