Manufacturing EngineerThe Manufacturing Engineer supports product areas by developing robust manufacturing processes, detailed work instructions, and tooling designs. This role works closely with design engineering and production floor teams to improve manufacturability, optimize costs, and ensure high-quality mechanical assemblies.Responsibilities:Work in cable assembly and harnessing product areas to support production and continuous improvement efforts.Create detailed manufacturing work instructions for the build of mechanical assemblies to ensure consistency, quality, and ease of use for production operators.Develop process improvements and best practices for the utilization and assembly of mechanical components and products.Collaborate with the design engineering team to provide input on manufacturing processes, tooling needs, and potential cost reduction opportunities.Work directly on the production floor with operators to troubleshoot issues, refine processes, and support day-to-day manufacturing activities.Create CAD drawings in SolidWorks for tooling, fixtures, and various mechanical products to support efficient and safe manufacturing operations.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 1 year of experience in aerospace manufacturing.Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in cable assembly and harnessing product areas.Proficiency in developing and writing detailed manufacturing work instructions for mechanical assemblies.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices for mechanical assemblies.SolidWorks design experience, including creating CAD drawings for tooling and mechanical products.Ability to work collaboratively with design engineering teams and production floor operators.Experience identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities in manufacturing environments.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments with exposure to complex mechanical assemblies.Experience supporting production floor activities and working closely with operators to improve processes.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate engineering concepts into practical manufacturing solutions.Attention to detail when creating work instructions and CAD documentation.Work Environment:This role is primarily based on the production floor in a manufacturing environment focused on cable assemblies, harnesses, and mechanical products. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with operators, equipment, and tooling to support daily production activities and process improvements. SolidWorks and other engineering tools are used to design and document tooling and assemblies. Job Type & Location:This is a Permanent position based out of Pasadena, CA.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
