We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time RFP / Grant Writer to assist a Chicago-based law firm with developing high-quality proposals, grant submissions, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate has previous experience writing proposals and grant applications within the legal industry and is comfortable working independently on a consulting or as-needed basis.

Develop and refine compelling RFP submissions, funding applications, and business proposals tailored to specific opportunities.
Partner with legal professionals and internal departments to collect relevant information and translate complex material into clear, effective written content.
Review and proofread documents for accuracy, consistency, professionalism, and compliance with submission requirements.
Provide writing and administrative support for multiple proposal initiatives as business needs arise.

Previous RFP or proposal writing experience within a law firm or legal services environment is required.
Demonstrated experience developing grant applications, formal proposals, and responses to competitive RFPs.
Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing professional documents.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Availability to support assignments on a flexible, part-time, project-driven schedule.

Contract Duration: Ongoing project-based engagement
Approximately 15–20 hours weekly when projects are active; Hybrid to start, with the possibility of remote flexibility.
