Production Pharmacist - Temporary

Please click here to review the Costco Applicant Privacy Notice. Dispensing prescription medications in a high volume pharmacy. Verifies prescriptions and refills with physicians by phone. Obtains patient medical history and maintains confidential computer records.

Counsels customers on proper medication usage. Provides prompt and courteous customer service. Answers customer questions about over-the-counter medication and product location. Addresses other customer concerns including insurance issues. Preserves customer confidentiality.

Meets proper department production, record keeping, and product storage procedures and standards. Delivers immunizations.

Approves and submits orders for equipment and supplies. Orders products using a computer system. Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.

May be required to act as Pharmacist-in-Charge during part of shift, when Pharmacy Manager is not present: Acts as point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies, and audit situations; monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance; supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.

Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
