This position will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electronic hardware, firmware, and software used in testing and manufacturing of ATF's diverse product offerings. The right candidate will be excited to lead electronics engineering support for our facility and customers. On a personal level, the candidate will exhibit the highest standards of integrity, deliver upon all commitments, serve all teams with a servant leadership mindset and be a highly motivated, team player with a positive attitude.Designs, develops, tests, reviews, and updates new and existing electronic systems and automation.Creates user interfaces and data collection tools for new and existing systems.Provides procedural documentation, drawings and specifications to inform others on how to fabricate, construct, assemble and maintain newly developed and revised products (both hardware and software).Troubleshoots, determines root-case and addresses electronics issues or problems.Identifies opportunities for improvement, recommends and leads research and modification projects.Creates and executes against designs of experiments and other tests to verify performance of new or existing systems, automation or software.Provides engineering support to production areas with a focus on servant leadership.Trains technicians to operate new or updated equipment and collect measurements.Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.Collect, compile and understand statistical data.Read and understand a variety of job-related instructions and documents, including electrical schematics.Develop, organize, prioritize, and manage projects and time.document meticulously.Comfortable training others including engineers and technicians.Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, applied physics, or equivalent field required.Experience with firmware/software development for board-level and/or systems-level design.Knowledge of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and/or PLC (programmable logic controller) programming and processing.Electrical schematic and printed circuit board (PCB) design experience.Experience in scientific programming (such as LabView, Python, MATLAB, or equivalents) for system control and user interface development.Demonstrated experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis preferred.Project planning, project management, and stage gate process experience preferred.Certain positions with IDEX Corporation and its business units require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.
