About this roleAs a General Surgeon at Riverton Hospital, you'll provide PRN call coverage alongside a collaborative team of three surgeons and one APP in a highly regarded clinical environment with strong facility resources and access to advanced surgical technology, including robotics. You'll care for patients across a broad range of bread-and-butter general surgery, including gallbladder, hernia, foregut, breast, and colon procedures, with excellent support from OR, nursing, and ancillary teams.Responsibilities:Provide 24-hour call coverage at Riverton Hospital for seven shifts per month, including expected weekend callAdditional call beyond seven shifts per month may be available at an additional contracted rateAdditional call coverage at Alta View Hospital may also be available at an additional contracted rateOptional 0.5–1 clinic day per week for follow-up visitsCompensation:$946 per 24-hour shift$1,046 per 24-hour shift for any shifts beyond seven per monthPRN positions are not eligible for benefits; however, Intermountain offers PRN caregivers access to several valuable programs and resources, including participation in the 401(k) Program, Learning and Development resources, the Wellness Program, Employee Assistance Program, pet insurance, employee discounts, and malpractice insurance coverage.Qualifications:MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicineBoard Eligible or Board Certified in General SurgeryActive, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain oneBLS and DEAAbility to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing processAbout us:Intermountain Health is a model health system by providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
