Maintenance Crew Person

City of O\'Fallon, MO is hiring for the position of Maintenance Worker I - Streets . The position offers competitive hourly rates from $24.02 to $36.03 (top of grade). A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE WORKER I - STREETS As part of the Street Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of city streets and related infrastructure. Your schedule is typically daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with required shifts during winter street clearing events.

Assisting with concrete removal and repair, including finishing concrete, patching asphalt, and repairing sidewalks.

Setting up safe work zones with your assigned crew.

Operating a variety of equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, concrete saws, street sweepers, and chain saws.

Transporting equipment and supplies to and from job sites.

Repairing damages caused by construction projects or snow removal.

Performing preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow their knowledge of basic principles used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, storm sewers, and facilities. Experience with concrete is a plus, but a willingness to learn is encouraged. Protective equipment (high visibility clothing, goggles, gloves, and other PPE) is required.

Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment with care

High school diploma or GED

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid commercial driver\'s license (Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement). Employer-provided training is offered to new hires who do not currently have a CDL.
