Remarkable Hospice - Plano: Certified Nurse Aide part-time (Rockwall area)
At Remarkable, we believe Hospice care is more than a service—it’s a calling. The CNA will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and working closely with the nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Provide mobility assistance, including help with walking, transferring, and positioning.
Medical Assistance: Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Assist with basic medical procedures under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Monitor and document patient condition and care provided in medical records.
Report any changes in patient status or behavior to the nursing staff promptly.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Environmental Maintenance: Assist with the cleaning and sterilization of equipment and supplies.
Ensure patient rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and linens.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay current with best practices in patient care.
Support and assist fellow CNAs and healthcare staff as needed.
Conforms to all applicable Agency policies and procedures.
Assumes accountability for reporting incidents and complaints according to Agency policy.
Basic math skills related to patient care.
Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.
Keeps abreast of changes in health care law.
Maintains Agency/program compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as state accreditation standards.
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Nursing Assistant course and certification as required by the state in which employed.
Driver’s license and proof of current auto liability insurance; Training program/competency eval as specified in §418.76 (b) (c) of the Medicare regulations.
Nurse Aide training/competency eval program approved by the state and listed in good
Environmental Conditions:
Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices; ability to work flexible schedule, ability to travel locally; Ability to travel.
